Effective Writing Course

NATO Professional Development Programme offered the “Effective Writing” course to its key partners.
The course was designed specifically for the representatives of the policy, analytical, international relations, PR departments who have extensive communication needs, and are responsible for writing and proof reading of letters, reports, minutes and other types of written communication.

The training covered effective communication strategies, basic principles applied drafting emails, position papers and policy proposals, tricks used by experienced professionals and internal communication ways.
At the end of the course participants were equipped will the tools, procedures and materials they need for successful professional communication in many diverse context.

The trainer of the course, Dr. Hans Gutbrod, has trained 2.000+ professionals, written a handbook on communication that was translated into several languages, and led effective organizations and campaigns. At various points, his work has been covered by the Economist, Financial Times, New York Times and Washington Post, among other outlets. Hans has extensive experience in Georgia, including in working with governmental institutions, and holds a Ph.D. in International Relations from the London School of Economics.
